We make small seed investments in passionate entrepreneurs trying to change education, healthcare, business, law, finance or commerce. Our typical check size is $100k – $200k and we’re often the first money going in.

TOM ADAMS

Before launching Workaround, Tom was on the Management Committee of Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund. An E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year National Winner, Tom is the former Chairman/CEO of Rosetta Stone which he took public on the NYSE in 2009.

KARIM CHROBOG

Before becoming a Partner at Workaround, Karim was President of 18th Street Films, an award-winning production company; and a Partner at Foxhall Group, a global public policy consultancy. Prior, he worked at TimeWarner. Karim holds a BSFS from Georgetown, a Masters in Business from  Georgetown.

ALEXIE HARPER

Before co-founding Pedago, Alexie served as Senior Researcher and Director of R&D at Rosetta Stone. She holds an M.A. from New York University and received her A.B. in English Literature and Language from Harvard University.

 

ORI RATNER

Ori worked as a Director of Software Development and Software Architect at Rosetta Stone before co-founding Pedago. He studied Computer Science at the University of Virginia, with a research focus in computer graphics and multi-agent simulation.

CHRIS SPILLER

Before joining Workaround, Chris led Rosetta Stone's lean start-up incubator developing prototypes and releasing innovative & disruptive products.  He has a Masters in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA from the University of Virginia.

MATT SCHENCK

Having architected and built the consumer division of Rosetta Stone, Matt ultimately led the global growth strategy as Executive Vice President. He has a B.A. in psychology from Williams College.
